!Kuola Ranks~

Kuola are group animals by nature, and a lone one would not last very long. A group of kuola is known as a Tribe, and they usually consist of about twelve members. The males are dominant over the females and a tribe only has one or two males, usually littermates or from the same mob.

At the top of the hierarchy is the leader or pair of leaders. The leaders are usually strong kuola, all of which are male. They are often battle scarred and experienced, though smaller tribes of about six members are run by young males. The senior leaders usually claim the best territory and nesting places, they also sire the most young.

Next is the senior and strongest of the females. They usually raise the most young to adulthood, and their kits are almost never kidnapped. They are the ones who get the most prey, best nesting spots and materials, their kits are the strongest and they are most likely to live to be elders.

Below them is the middle ranking females, mid aged or weaker ones. They are the ones that sometimes steal young but their kits usually live to adulthood. They are usually around three years old, and experienced in raising young. The bulk of the tribe is made up of this rank.

Right below are the elders. Old kuola, sometimes of both genders, who are unable to breed and settle down within the territory. They rarely leave with the tribe during mating season and usually meet up with other elders from different tribes. Their teeth and claws are worn, and they are frail. Very few elders live in a tribe, the most was four and that was in a very large tribe of twenty. Old mob males or loners, who don't have a tribe, will often join a tribe, which the leaders usually allow.

At the very bottom is the omegas of kuola tribes. They are often the young, weak and small females. They often kidnap and kill other females of same or mid rank. They get the least amount of prey and the worse nesting spots. They often get attacked by higher ranking females for no reason at all, and the males are particularly rough with them when mating. Their young will rarely live to adulthood and they sometimes leave the tribe so their kits would have a better chance, though that would actually decrease the chance of them living.
Beside the tribe ranks, there are loners and mobs. Both are usually male and are without a tribe. Though, mobs are groups unlike loners.

Loners are single or sometimes paired kuola of both genders, though usually male. These are old leaders who've been chased out of their tribe, young kuola of both genders and elderly males who haven't join a tribe yet. They are generally neutral and sometimes the weaker or older ones join a smaller tribe.

Lastly, are Mob Males. Mobs usually consist of five members, who are all male. These are usually siblings or ex-members from the same tribe who have banded together to survive. They are a nuisance to most tribes, as they often steal prey or hassle females and kits. They are often aggressive and will try to take over a smaller tribe's territory. The mob is lead by a single male, who is the strongest and usually largest of the males.
Sorry there's not much info on the mobs, it's just I have writersblock. :I
